Eulogy by Bob O'Malley

I am sorry to say that Greg Gage passed away in December 2002. Greg was a longtime Oregon player, and a former member of the Corvallis Go Club. Later he became a member of the Wings Go Club, wishing to support the spirit and direction that Wings was taking.

Greg lived in Newport, and was proud to be known as a teacher. Over the years he won an Oregon trophy more than once (before my time) which, he said, was the tackiest trophy he had ever seen. He also taught Go to youth long before I ever started. He participated in the recent Oregon tournaments until his health began to fail. The last most of us saw of Greg was at the Janice Kim workshop in Corvallis.

He had a fine spirit and was a good person.
